In the world of Cosmic Commander, Generations progress in real time.
The current Generation corresponds to the generation of robots that may be produced from a Core; in other words, it becomes possible to create more powerful robots as time goes on. See below for a more detailed explanation about Cores and Generations.

Cores

The Core is a very important part of a robot that could be described as the robot's "soul".
All robots in Cosmic Commander are built from Cores.
You can obtain Cores from Mission completion rewards or as victory prizes in the Arena. It's also possible to obtain rare Cores that you cannot usually receive by spinning the ROBODRAW with your PRIME.

Rarity of Cores

All the Cores are divided into 3 categories of rarity:

Common Cores

Common Cores

…Cores that are easy to get which are often obtained from Mission completion rewards.

Rare Cores

Rare Cores

…Cores that are hard to get, which are rarely obtained from Mission completion rewards and sometimes as victory prizes in the Arena. They have a blue aura.

Super Rare Cores

Super Rare Cores

…Cores that are extremely difficult to get. They have an orange aura and glitter.

Leveling up a Cores

EXP gained is shared by all robots with the same core type. Once the Core has accumulated enough EXP, it will ""level up"", gain new skills, and have its status and its EN increase at the same time.

When you go into the Factory and the necessary amount of EXP to level up has been reached, ""Level up"" will be displayed on each robot's respective panels.
You will be able to carry out the leveling up by clicking on this message.

Lost and Discharged Robots

After battling for some time, a robot may suffer fatal damage when destroyed in battle.
When this happens, the robot is considered "lost", and will disappear upon returning to Base after its final Mission.

By using PRIME, you may revive a robot just as it is about to be lost. (You will be given this choice when the robot disappears.)
A robot revived in this way will also receive a large amount of EXP for its Core, thanks to its near death experience.
If you run out of space in your Base, or would like to dispose of unused robots, you may voluntarily "discharge" robots from your army.
To do this, use the DISCHARGE button on the DETAIL screen.
Normally, discharged robots are gone forever, just as if they were lost. However, by using PRIME, you can recover the Core of a discharged robot, allowing you to use it to create another new robot in the future.

It is officially announced when a Generation changes, so please constantly check the official Forum's Information box.
